I am a Plant Molecular Physiologist with a strong background in Plant Metabolism. My main interests lie in understanding how metabolism governs various aspects of plant development, physiology, and responses to biotic and abiotic stresses. During my PhD, conducted in Brazil and partly in Germany, and my postdoctoral research, conducted in Germany, I studied the role of primary metabolism in stomatal development, the regulation of respiration, and responses to biotic and abiotic stresses. I have acquired experience in Molecular Biology, biochemistry, plant physiology techniques in general, analysis of large datasets, and live sensing of biological parameters using genetically encoded biosensors. Currently, my research is focused on how primary metabolism modulates drought stress and senescence.
